Marclyn “Mick” Garrow

Marclyn “Mick” Garrow, age 84, of Lincoln, formerly of Mullen, passed away on Feb. 7, 2025, at the Bryan LGH West Hospital.

Marclyn “Mick” Kay Garrow was born on May 20, 1940, at Mullen, Nebraska, to Robert Eugene and Mary (Revere) McConnell. She grew up in Mullen and graduated from Mullen High School in 1958. After high school Mick moved to Lincoln where she attended Joseph’s Beauty School.

Mick was married to Richard Garrow in Mullen. The couple made their home in North Tonawanda, New York, for several years before moving to Lincoln. Four children were born to this union: Bill, Rick, Tammy and Gary.

Mick worked for a contact lens manufacturing company in Lincoln and later for the Department of Immigration. Mick and Richard later divorced.

Mick enjoyed painting, drawing and bowling. She also loved to return to Mullen for the Alumni and going to rodeos.

Survivors include her children, Bill, Rick, Tammy, Gary (Jenna) Garrow, all of Lincoln, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a sister Tery (Dean) Fisher of Amherst.

Mick was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Robert “Gary” McConnell, one grandchild, and one greatgrandchild.

Graveside services were held Feb. 14, 2025, at the Cedarview Cemetery in Mullen.
