Deanna Sweet, 77, of Rapid City, South Dakota, passed away on March 24, 2021, at home surrounded by family.
Deanna Sweet was born in Alliance, Nebraska, to Oscar and Florence Curtis on Jan. 12, 1944. She married Benjamin Sweet on Nov. 5, 1961, in Thedford, Nebraska.
Deanna is survived by her daughter Sharilyn Sweet of Rapid City, her sisters Elaine Wild, Sandra Graham, Garnett Jameson and Penny Geiser, three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Deanna was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Florence Curtis, her son Curtis Todd Sweet and her husband Benjamin Sweet.
Per her wishes, her body was donated to the University of South Dakota School of Medicine, as did Benjamin upon his death.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Rapid City.
