Denise Elizabeth (DeLisi) Boots passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at a hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. She was 65.
She was born Sept. 14, 1960, in Methuen, Massachusetts, the oldest child of Adele and Andrew DeLisi. Denise grew up in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, and graduated from Chelmsford High School in 1978. She graduated from the Lowell Academy Hairstyling Institute in 1979. Denise married Ken Myers in 1986 and moved to Hudson, New Hampshire, where they had two children, Chad Myers and Colby Myers, before divorcing in 1997. In 1999 Denise married Max Boots and moved with Chad and Colby to Hyannis, Nebraska. In 2002, Max and Denise moved their family to Max’s childhood home in Ashby, where they have resided since.
Denise worked for the Hyannis area school system as a para-teacher for a short time before obtaining a position at Community First Bank in Hyannis, where she worked for 3 years. In 2004, Denise became disabled with Multiple Sclerosis and retired.
Denise was a communicant of All Saints Church in Hyannis, a member of All Saints Altar Society and taught religious education at the church for many years. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for many years, serving in various offices including, president, vice president and recording secretary. Denise served as secretary for the Hyannis Elementary School Board, the Ashby Fellowship Board and the Ashby Cemetery Board for several years. She wrote the Ashby News column in the Grant County News for several years as well. She ran the Hyannis TeamMates organization from 2010-2018. Denise was very active in the Hyannis and Ashby school systems for many years, and was one of the nominees for Parent of the Year at Hyannis High School in 2010.
She is survived by her husband Max, her two sons Chad Myers and Colby Myers, her daughter-in-law Jessica Brown Myers, her stepson Kane (Shantell) Boots, her granddaughter Harper Myers and grandson Kohen Boots. She is also survived by her mother Adele Miguens, sister Donna Singleton, brother Andrew DeLisi, another brother and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and step-mother Andrew and Cheryl DeLisi and her Godmother Elizabeth Finola.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Hyannis with Father Vijaya Prabhakar Maduna officiating. Burial will be in the Ashby Cemetery.
