Erwin (Jimmy) L. Warden, 80, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, died Oct. 17, 2021. He was born on Oct. 17, 1941. He was a member of the military armed forces and retired in 1996. Burial will be at the Cheyenne National Cemetery.
He grew up in the Sandhills of Nebraska. At an early age, he developed a love of airplanes and flying. Erwin entered his military career in the Air Force and served active duty for 7 years. He worked for United Airlines for a period and continued his career into the Wyoming Air National Guard until his retirement in 1996.
Besides his love of flying, Erwin enjoyed fishing, tinkering in his garage, and working on vehicles including a vintage Volkswagen dune buggy. Jimmy enjoyed coffee time with his Air National Guard friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life, Marsha, who passed in 2016. Erwin is survived by military members and many cousins and friends.
Graveside services and burial for Jimmy and Marsha will be in the Cheyenne National Cemetery on Oct. 25, 2021, at 10:00 a.m.
