Judith Brown

Memorial service for Judith Ann Brown, age 77, of Seneca, Nebraska, was Oct. 15 at the Seneca Auditorium in Seneca. Govier Brothers Mortuary of Mullen were in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www. govierbrothers.com.

Judith Brown was born Jan. 13, 1946, to Henry Cox and Wilamene Ericksen Cox of Mullen, Nebraska. She was the eldest of the siblings Kay Tarr, AB Cox, Erika Christene Cox and Lou Fornander. She spent her formative years at Calf Creek Ranch in Cherry County.

She was married twice, to Russell Jones of Laramie, Wyoming, and later to Don Brown of New Mexico. She had four children: CJ Alexander (son Ezra), Peter Bentley (wife Staci Porter, children Jack Bentley and Hunter Bentley) and Erik Bentley (daughter Briona), and Elizabeth Russell.

A larger portion of her life was spent in the Tower District of Fresno, California, where she worked as a paralegal and noted astrologist.

She retired to her beloved Sandhills where she lived in Seneca until her passing on Oct. 12, 2023.
