Kenneth White, age 85, of Thedford, Nebraska, passed away May 26, 2021, at Great Plains Health in North Platte, Nebraska.
He was born Sept. 5, 1935, in Oshkosh, Nebraska, to Harvey Hugh and Dorothea Elizabeth (Ray) White. He grew up on a farm north of Oshkosh with three brothers and four sisters and attended rural school and Garden County High School.
He married Helen Elizabeth McDonald Oct. 3, 1959, at Oshkosh, Nebraska.
He worked for several ranches in the Sandhills, including 19 years for Howard and Bonnie Long north of Seneca. Kenneth and Helen moved to Thedford in 1985 and he was employed with the Thomas County Road Department for 12 years. He spent two summers haying for Bob Biltoft and did seasonal work for Upper Loup NRD and the Thedford Golf Course.
Survivors include his wife Helen; daughters Colleen Trisdale of North Platte and Deanna Miller of Clay Center; grandchildren Amanda (Jesse) Furman of Gretna, Sheena Miller of Wahoo, and Brad Trisdale of North Platte; greatgrandchildren Rhiannon De-Gunia, Hunter Else and Emma and Miah Furman; brothers Lawrence (Pat) White of Okeechobee, Florida, and Ray (Sandy) White of Scottsbluff; sisters Patricia Starke of Alliance and Delores Facchinello of Columbus. He is also survived by brothers-in-law Tom, George and Jerry McDonald and John Stark and sisters-in-law Esther (Arnold) Rogers, Elaine Heisey and Kathy Keaton and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter Kerry Ann, infant granddaughter Jennifer Cook, son-in-law Brent Miller, brother Floyd White and wife Marilyn, sisters Betty McConkey and husband Ron and Darline Evans and husband Wyatt, brothers-in-law Rudy Starke, Joe Keaton and Francis McDonald and sisters-in-law Sharon Stark, Dorothy McDonald and Betty McDonald.
Funeral services were Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at the United Church of Christ in Thedford with Father Mike McDonald officiating. Burial was in the Antelope Valley Cemetery in Oshkosh.
