Phyllis N. Phillips, age 85, of Whitman, Nebraska, died March 8, 2023, at the Country Side Care Home in Gordon. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Mullen Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Teters officiating. Burial will be in the Whitman Cemetery.

Dolores Wright, age 92, of Mullen, Nebraska, passed away Feb. 13, 2023, at Linden Court in North Platte, Nebraska. Memorial services were Feb. 17, 2023, at the St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church in Mullen with Pastor Karen Juzenas officiating. Inurnment was in the Cedarview Cemetery.

Kenny Bader

Kenny Joe Bader, 74 years old, was born on Oct. 29, 1948, to Joe and Virginia (Daily) Bader in Broken Bow, Nebraska. During the blizzard of 1949, Joe and Virginia were visiting at Big Creek, got snowed in, and had to use a dresser drawer for a bed to keep Kenny warm.

Helen Eileen Mallory of Mullen passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 8, 2023. She was born Aug. 20, 1941, to George and Eileen (McNitt) Stichka in Mullen. She grew up in the Sandhills region attending school in Thedford.
