Marty Mae Boyer passed away on March 29, 2022, at the Pioneer Memorial Rest Home in Mullen, Nebraska. She was 95 years young. Marty was born to Carrie (Tillson) and Orville Conner on Jan. 20, 1927. She was 1 of 10 children; she and her sister were the two youngest.

Sharon Kay Paxton, age 80, of Thedford, Nebraska, passed away March 24, 2022, at her home in Thedford. Funeral service was March 28, 2022, at the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Thedford. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Govier Brothers Mortuary are in charge of arrangements.

Christopher Paul Haesler died Feb. 20, 2022, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Chris was born on Sept. 26, 1962, to the late Guy and Alice (Carter) Haesler in Jamaica-Queens, New York. He was the youngest of six children.

Virginia Wright

Virginia Wright passed away Feb. 28, 2022, at the Pioneer Memorial Rest Home in Mullen, Nebraska, on the day of her and Bill’s 69th wedding anniversary. They are together again. Virginia was born in Stewardson, Illinois, to Phebe Vaught Stephens and Lowell Stephens on Aug. 13, 1933.

Dick Turpin

Dick Turpin, avid outdoorsman and master storyteller, passed peacefully in his sleep Feb. 2, 2022, at the age of 84 in Lincoln, Nebraska, after spending the day with family and chatting on the phone with friends.

James Devine

James Edward Devine passed away Feb. 13, 2022, at the age of 91 in Lakewood, Colorado. He was born on June 2, 1930, to Joseph T. and Elsie E. (Smith) Devine in Seneca, Nebraska. He grew up in the Sandhills with his three younger siblings.

Marie Ann Wiese gained her wings on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022, at the age of 72. Marie was born July 21, 1949, to Robert (Bob) and Shirley (Renick) Curtis in Alliance, Nebraska.

Hildred Piel

Hildred Elaine Piel passed away peacefully on Jan. 21, 2022, at the age of 98 at her residence in Kirkland, Washington, with her family by her side. Born on July 21, 1923, to Desoto and Lenore Paul on a farm near Elm Creek, Nebraska, she graduated from Kearney High School in 1941.

David Boyles

David L. Boyles, 53, passed away on Friday, Feb. 4, 2022, at Swedish Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. He was born on May 6, 1968, in Alliance to Glenwood “Jim” and Ruby (Krueger) Boyles. He graduated from Mullen High School in 1986.
