George Jones

George B. Jones, 76, of Gordon, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, Feb. 8, 2021. George was born on Wednesday, March 29, 1944, to Albert and Mabel (Mathews) Jones. He grew up in Mullen, Nebraska, with his brother Charlie and sisters Mary Jo and Alberta.

Jacqueline Licking

Jacqueline “Jackie” Licking, age 87, passed away Feb. 6, 2021, at Pioneer Memorial Rest Home in Mullen, Nebraska, where she was a resident. Jackie was born Dec. 8, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, one of six children born to Roy and Evelyn (Gibner) Johnson.

Lois Folk’s cousin, Wally Gall, age 75, of Longmont, Colorado, passed away the evening of Jan. 20, 2021, of pancreatic cancer diagnosed in October 2020. The three months he was with hospice. He served in the Vietnam War and taught economics at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado.

Margaret Lucille Steggall, 96, passed away in Edgemont, South Dakota, Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, at the home of her granddaughter. She was born, Nov. 8, 1924, in Casper, Wyoming, to Joseph and Sophie (Popenhagen) Sonnenfelt.

John Carr

John J. Carr passed away at his home in Mullen on Dec. 18, 2020. He was born on Aug. 17, 1943, to John S. and E. Thelma Carr (Dooley). John graduated from Mullen High School in 1961. He spent his summers during school working in the hayfield.

Daniel L. Evans, 69, of North Platte, Nebraska. It is with great sadness the Evans family announces his passing on Jan. 12, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born in Alliance, Nebraska, on Feb. 7, 1951, to June and Charles “Tex” Evans.

Mary Vinton Sahli of Whitman, Nebraska, passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, at her home in Lincoln with her husband Dan and her son Mark by her side. Mary was born Oct. 23, 1945, to Willard and Fran Vinton. She was raised on her family’s ranch with sisters Pat, Rosalie, Geri and brother Bill.

Alberta Kramer

Alberta A. (Jones) Kramer, of rural Yoder, Wyoming, died peacefully and unexpectedly on Jan. 4, 2021, at her home. Colyer Funeral Home, Torrington, Wyoming, is in charge of arrangements. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Hyannis, Nebraska.

Eunice Kramer

Eunice Yvonne Kramer, 89, of North Platte, died Jan. 4, 2021, at Great Plains Health. She was born on Oct. 15, 1931, to Earl and Pearl (Munson) Miller, in Ringgold, Nebraska. Eunice graduated from Tryon High School with the class of 1949. She then married Manley Kramer on May 27, 1950, in Ringgold.
