by MPS Superintendent Chris Kuncl As we have concluded the end of the first quarter and are coming to the end of the fall 2025 activities, it always reminds you of how time flies. Our students and staff have been off to an amazing start and we look forward to the rest of the 2025-2026 school year.

Free dual credit at MPCC opens doors for local students

Mid-Plains Community College’s decision to offer free tuition and fees for high school students taking dual credit and early entry courses has generated a surge in enrollment and a wave of positive changes across the region.

Donations needed for TeamMates Christmas Shop

Believers & Achievers local school winners announced

Mullen High School seniors Sydnee Cheever, Hayley Donohoe, Tate Kvanvig and Alex Werner were chosen as Nebraska School Activities Association and Currency Believers & Achievers local school winners.Believers & Achievers is a statewide awards program that recognizes Nebraska’s future leaders.

Junior team qualifies to compete at state livestock judging

by Kelsey Phillips, FFA advisor On Wednesday, Oct. 8, 22 Mullen FFA members utilized their skills and knowledge to compete at the district Livestock Evaluation contest in Valentine, achieving notable success.
