Junior team qualifies to compete at state livestock judging

Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Grant awarded

by Katie Crisp Mullen Elementary school is excited to share some wonderful news. Mullen Elementary School has been awarded the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) grant for this school year!

Flores-Green to serve as college club officer

Mia Flores-Green was recently elected treasurer of the Women in STEM Club at the University of New England- Biddeford in Biddeford, Maine.Mia is a freshman and the daughter of Jamie Green of Mullen.
The Mullen and Thedford TeamMates chapters walked together during halftime of the Mullen vs Sandhills/Thedford football game last Thursday evening to raise awareness for the program. The group walked two laps on the track around the football field. TeamMates CEO DeMoine Adams even stopped by during the game to say hi. Last week in science, Mullen’s 1st graders became plant detectives! The class learned about germination - the way a tiny seed begins to grow into a new plant. Students explored how young plants, called seedlings, are similar to their parent plants.
