On March 18th, the sophomores attended Connecting the Dots at MPCC in North Platte.Connecting the Dots is an interactive career exploration simulation program designed to help students learn more about careers of interest.

The first graders watched a video on how butter is made for science. Last Tuesday, March 25, they each got to take a turn with helping to make butter. They enjoyed trying some on a roll when it was finished.

Annual Family STEM Night held last week

Mullen High School STEM Club held their annual Family STEM Night last Thursday, March 27 at the Hilltop Gym.The majority of the stations were from the Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Trailer - a free outreach program with activities to use during festivals and events.

The Mullen senior high quiz bowl team traveled to Tryon last Friday, March 21 to compete in the MNAC tournament. This was a good meet for the team, as all members were present and competing. The team played hard and finished 5-5 hav ing some quality wins!

In science, the 2nd grade students explored the different properties of materials used for clothing, such as texture, flexibility and absorbency. They then used this information to design and build a hat that protects them from the sun. The 2nd graders have been learning about insects.
