The funds raised from the Scholastic Book Fair the National Honor Society held in November were gifted to the Mullen Elementary teachers! Teachers were able to order new books and supplies for their classrooms that will help inspire and engage our students.

January Pizza with the Principal at Mullen Elementary

Pizza with the Principal is a reward for six Mullen Elementary School students, featuring one student from each grade level. This is the Mullen Elementary School’s version of “student of the month.” Each grade level will have one award winner each month.

12 FCCLA members are State bound!

On Jan. 27, 12 Mullen FCCLA members traveled to Callaway to compete in STAR. All 12 qualified for State Leadership Conference, which will be held in Lincoln April 6-8.

MHS Quiz Bowl team goes 2-2

The Mullen Senior High Quiz Bowl team traveled to Merna last Wednesday, Feb. 5 to compete against 14 other teams. They were a little short for their season opener due to sickness, but these four did awesome, going 2-2 and missing the finals.

by Gerri PetersonOver the years, Mullen Bronco fans have seen a variety of halftime entertainment at varsity basketball games. Last Friday, Feb. 7 though was a new one for Mullen fans. The 4th and 5th graders performed a routine with basketballs to the song “All Shook Up” by Elvis.

Locals named to academic lists

Emporia, Kansas - Erika Massey of Mullen was one of the Emporia State undergraduate students named to the university honor roll after the fall 2024 semester.To qualify for the university honor roll, students earned a minimum 3.80 semester GPA.
