HOBY: Congratulations to Orabella Heaton who will represent Mullen High School at the Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Conference this coming summer in Norfolk, Nebraska. The State Seminar will be held June 7-9 at Northeast Community College.

UNK, CSC Dean’s Lists

The University of Nebraska at Kearney announced students who earned a place on the dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester. Students who are on the dean’s list must have completed 12 credit hours or more of classes with a 3.5 grade-point average or better on a 4.0 scale. Students earn a 4.

December Pizza with the Principal at the elementary

Pizza with the Principal is a reward for six Mullen Elementary School students, featuring one student from each grade level. This is the elementary school’s version of Student of the Month. Each grade level will have one award winner each month.

Kearney - Graduate and undergraduate degrees will be conferred for 446 winter graduates at University of Nebraska at Kearney commencement exercises 10 a.m. CT Friday, Dec. 15 at UNK’s Health and Sports Center.

Emily Boyer inducted into Sigma

Mullen native Emily Boyer was recently inducted into Sigma, the International Honor Society of Nursing. Requirements for this honor included being in the top 35% of her class and having an accumulative GPA higher than 3.5. Emily is the daughter of Brandon and Terra Boyer of Mullen.
