Jennings named to Dean’s List

A total of 158 students qualified for the Mid-Plains Community College Dean’s List during the 2023 fall semester. To make the list, students had to complete 12 or more applicable credit hours of college-level courses and maintain an overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 – 3.89 on a 4.0 scale.

This week is School Board Recognition Week in Nebraska. The Nebraska Association of School Boards says, “Thanks to the 1,700 locally elected volunteers who make up the Board of Education for Nebraska’s Public Schools and ESUs.

Spanish individual choice projects

Kaisley Phipps is MHS Student of the Month

sophomore 7th grader Kaisley Phipps, the daughter of Jordyn and Brett Phipps, was selected to be December’s Student of the Month. She was nominated as Student of the Month by Mullen staff during their monthly Leadership Council meeting.

2nd graders write persuasive letter to Mr. Mauler

The 2nd grade students started a persuasive writing unit last week in reading. The students worked together to plan and write a persuasive letter to the principal, Mr. Mauler. They tried to persuade Mr. Mauler to join them for an online review game once a week.

Coble, Emerson named to dean’s lists

Brookings - South Dakota State University announces Callie Coble of Mullen, Nebraska, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester. Overall, 3,475 students from 39 states and 24 foreign nations are on the list.
