The Mullen High School National Honor Society members visited the Mullen Elementary classrooms on Oct. 26 for Red Ribbon Week. The students were invited to wear red that day. The Red Ribbon Campaign is the largest drug-abuse prevention campaign in the United States.
NHS visit elementary for Red Ribbon Week
The Mullen Elementary and Middle and High School HAL (High Ability Learner) students went on their fall trips last month. Both groups got a deeper look into agriculture equipment. The elementary students traveled north of Burwell to Rowse Rakes on Oct. 17, while the middle school and high school students traveled to Grand Island to the CASE IH plant on Oct. 30. Brett Mauler

In Mrs. Jewell’s junior high science classes, the 8th graders have been experimenting with creating circuits while learning how electricity flows. The 7th graders (pictured) had a review of the scientific method when they did a lab to test paper helicopters. Tawn Jewell
