by Kara Connealy I’m not sure how it’s possible, but we have reached the end of the first quarter at Mullen Public Schools! This first quarter whizzed by and I have enjoyed every single second of it. I would argue that the students of MPS are the very best anywhere!

Support FCCLA, FFA through food sales

It’s that time of year again when FCCLA and FFA members are doing their annual food sales, now until Nov. 13th. If you are interested in purchasing fruit such as apples, oranges, or pears, reach out to an FCCLA member.
On Tuesday, Oct. 3, 6,700 square feet of sod was put in at the Mullen Elementary playground. Students in grades 5-12 helped with the project, along with staff, teachers, administrators and community members who came to volunteer their time for the project as well. Dane Peterson

Broncos Booster first quarter wrap up

by Sue Licking First quarter happened in the blink of an eye! We had our semester meeting on Sept. 5th with a new school year to plan. Bronco Boosters is a non-profit, volunteer organization. Our purpose it to promote all extracurricular activities at MPS for students in grades 7-12.

Millers attend livestock judging clinic

by Hope Miller Hope and Oakes Miller went to a Livestock Judging Clinic in Valentine on Oct. 4. Both practiced judging proper conformation with eight different classes of livestock.

The staff member of the quarter is nominated and voted on by students of Mullen. This quarter's winner is Tyler Gracey. Tyler was nominated because he has done a great job helping students in the weight room every morning. He pushes us to be better and is supportive in our efforts.

sophomore Chloe Wiese is an uprising 6th grader and the daughter of Lucienne and Thomas Wiese, and she hasn’t failed to impress her teachers. Chloe was picked as Student of the Month during the monthly staff meeting for her interest in learning and helping others.
