by Gerri Peterson The National High School Finals Rodeo was held in Lincoln July 19-25, with three Mullen High School students competing.Brynne McCully competed in the breakaway, catching in the first round, but breaking the barrier, giving her a time of 12.45 for 104th.

Action-packed entertainment at Herd Bull University Rodeo

Herd Bull University, a Christ-centered ministry building men of the next generation to protect, provide, lead and serve, hosted their first-ever rodeo at the Hooker County Fairgrounds last Saturday. Herd Bull University was founded by John Howell, Scott Zimmerman and Tray Ardese.

Lickings part of 308 18’s Elite Volleyball Club

by Sue Licking The 308 18’s Elite Volleyball Club competed in the National Volleyball Festival in Phoenix, Arizona, June 25-28.There were 158 teams competing in the 17-18 division.
The Mullen Fun Day’s evening entertainment was the 4 Wheeler Rodeo on Saturday, July 4th, where David Kraye placed 1st, Ty Kvanvig 2nd and Jason Brown 3rd. Adult coed softball is playing every Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. at the Mullen baseball field. Anyone is welcome to play or come watch some good ball.On Sunday, July 26 during the Hooker County Fair, family softball will be played from 4-6 p.m., with adult softball from 6-9 p.m.
