Lady Broncos win subdistrict, advance to District Final

by Hayley Donohoe, MHS junior In the first round of subdistricts, the girl’s basketball team played the Arthur County Wolves on Wednesday, Feb. 19. The girls won 53-24, leading them to the subdistrict finals.

Broncos play last regular season game

Saturday, Feb. 22, the Mullen Broncos hit the road to play the (13-9) D2 Hay Springs Hawks. This was the Broncos’ first game after a 10 day hiatus, the last time they played was against the Sandhills Valley Mavericks.

Coach Russ Monette said it was going to be a memorable night for all involved, and he was right! MHS senior Jacob Wingebach was selected as the Nebraska Class D Unified Wrestling Participant to wrestle at the Nebraska State Wrestling Tournament last Friday evening, Feb. 21.
