Bronco wrestlers have a busy week

The Mullen JV wrestling team wrestled in Perkins County last Tuesday, Jan. 14.Junior Jaylon Forsen placed 1st at 132. He won his first round by injury default over Ari Koduri (North Platte St. Patrick’s) in 0:46. He pinned Thomas Miller (Ogallala) in 2:41.

The Mullen Broncos took on the Arthur County Wolves this past Thursday, Jan. 16. They pulled out the victory (45-21), bumping their record to 8-1.

Broncos go 1-1 last week to make their season record 5-5

by Alex Werner, MHS junior Thursday, Jan. 16 the Mullen Broncos faced the D2 Arthur County Wolves (3-8). The back and forth ended with a Bronco victory and a final score of 43-33.Freshman Ben Werner led the Broncos, scoring 18 points all of which came from behind the 3-point line.

On Saturday, Jan. 11 the Mullen Bronco wrestlers headed down to the Ogallala Duals, where they finished 8th as a team.In the first round, it was Mullen vs Sutherland where Sutherland defeated Mullen 52-18.Colby Kessler was pinned by Scotty Anderson in 1:05 at 120.
