Districts up next for the Mullen Bronco wrestlers

The Mullen Bronco wrestling team competed in Loup City last Friday, Feb. 7 at the Arcadia/Loup City Rebels Invite, placing 7th out of 13 teams.At 215, Tate Kvanvig placed 1st, scoring 22 team points.

The Mullen Youth Wrestling team competed at the Broken Bow Club Tournament on Sunday, Feb. 2, placing first as a team.PK-K Girls 45-49 Ryann Walz: 1st - 14 team points. Won by 0:49 fall over Clara Coufal (Broken Bow Wrestling Club), won by 1:32 fall over Coufal.

Lady Broncos are MNAC Champions

The #2 seeded Lady Broncos hosted the #7 seeded South Loup Bobcats in the first round of MNAC on Monday, Jan. 27. The girls managed another win (45-10) making their record now 12-1.

Broncos go 0-2 in MNAC tournament

It was MNAC week last week and on Tuesday, Jan. 28 the #6 seeded Mullen Broncos faced the #3 seeded Twin Loup Wolves (13-5) in the first round of the MNAC tournament at Arnold.The Broncos faced a strong defense and aggressive offense.

Wrestlers compete at Central Valley Invite

On Friday, Jan. 31 four Mullen Bronco wrestlers traveled to Greeley, Nebraska. As a team they placed 13th out of 21 teams.Tate Kvanvig placed second and scored 22 team points. In his first round he pinned Sammy Gonzalez (Wood River) in 0:43.
