Mullen Marksmen are State BB Gun Champions

by Gerri PetersonThe Mullen Marksmen 4-H gun club competed at the state shoot in Kimball Saturday and Sunday, March 14-15, bringing home many medals. State BB Gun was held on Saturday, with Mullen Marksmen 1 being state champions out of 17 full teams!

Sandhill Defenders compete in Maxwell

The Sandhill Defenders participated in the Great Plains JVA Club Tournament in Maxwell on Sunday, March 1. There was a lot of great competition, with 11 teams participating in the 13U division. The first pool game we played GPVC 14, losing in two 25-18 and 25-20.

Mullen youth wrestlers competed at the NEUSA District 1 District meet in Scottsbluff on Sunday, March 8. All of the Mullen competitors qualified for the state meet, which will be held March 21-22 at the Heartland Event Center in Grand Island.PreK-K - 48.4-49.2: Brek Dent - 4th.

Mullen Broncos end basketball season in District Final

The Mullen Bronco boys basketball team ended their season last Tuesday, March 3 in the District Final at Humphrey against the Archangels Catholic Defenders.The Broncos were unable to dig themselves out of a 2-23 first quarter deficit.

Sandhill Defenders at Viking Jam

Barb McIntosh Saturday, Feb. 21 Sandhill Defenders played in the Viking Jam at Grand Island Northwest High School.We had three pretty tough pool play games with the toughest pool of the day. We first played Wood River, splitting the sets 15-25 and 25-20.
