Athletic Banquet held

by Gerri Peterson The Mullen High School Athletic Banquet was held on Monday, May 4 at the Lariat.Following a supper where the Mullen Commercial Club provided meat, potatoes and drinks, and attendees brought salads, vegetables and desserts, season highlights were given by the coaches.

Broncos place 2nd, 4th at MNAC track

by Gerri Peterson The Mullen Bronco track teams competed in MNAC action last Friday, May 1, in Arnold.The Lady Broncos were MNAC runners-up with 111 points, behind South Loup’s 129 points. The boys placed fourth out of the eight conference teams.

Broncos are MNAC golf champions

by Gerri Peterson The Mullen Bronco boys golf team competed in MNAC action in Thedford last Thursday, April 30, claiming the team championship.Ben Werner was the individual champion with a 75, while Jacob Walker was runner-up with a 76.

Sandhill Defenders wrap up season

Sandhill Defenders participated in the Flower Spike Fest Club 13U & 14U combined Volleyball Tourney in Maxwell on April 19, hosted by GPVBC.Our first game of the day was playing the Southwest Roughriders, splitting sets 25-22 and 21-25, which put us playing a third set losing 16-14.

Track teams compete in Gothenburg, place 1st and 2nd in Paxton

Those who qualified competed in the Midwest Nebraska Track Classic in Gothenburg last Tuesday, April 21.Medals were awarded through third place at the meet, with the Broncos bringing home some in a variety of events.Girls Brynne McCully: 3rd - 400, 1:03.64 Abigail Gracey: 3rd - 800, 2:34.

The Mullen Bronco boys golf team hosted a triangular on Tuesday, April 21 with Sandhills/Thedford and Hyannis.

Athletic Banquet set for next Monday

The annual Mullen High School Athletic Banquet will be held Monday, May 4 at 6:00 p.m. at the Lariat.The Mullen Commercial Club will furnish the meat and potatoes. Drinks and table service are also provided.
