With a 9:00 a.m. leave time last Friday, the Mullen Bronco football team’s day was all football as they made the trek to Bassett for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff against the North Central Knights (Bassett and Springview).

Lady Broncos win Chase County Invite

On Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, the Mullen cross country team traveled to Imperial, Nebraska. It was a successful day for the junior high and high school runners. Although it was a very windy day, Mullen made their appearance known and represented Mullen well.

The Lady Broncos improved to 5-2 last Saturday, Sept. 14 when they became the runners-up at the Seven Valleys Tournament. The Broncos defeated Medicine Valley and Paxton both in two sets before facing D1 Brady in the championship game.Against Medicine Valley, the set scores were 25-15 and 25-20.

Mullen youth volleyball teams begin season

The Mullen youth volleyball teams began their season this past Sunday, Sept. 15 with away games against Anselmo-Merna. The rest of their schedule is still a little up in the air, but here’s the best that can be determined at this point: Oct. 5 - 3rd-6th grade Sutherland Tournament Oct.

Cross country team competes in biggest meet of the season

by Harper Andersen, MHS sophomoreThe Mullen Bronco cross country team traveled to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to participate in the Augustana Twilight Meet on Sept. 6, 2024. All four of the Lady Broncos competed in the varsity division, racing against 325 other runners. It was a very successful meet!

Football team wins first home game

The Mullen Bronco football team earned their first win of the season at home last Fri- Hayes Center Wolves came to town.“This was a good win for us,” Head Coach Wade Marsh said.
