Men’s league The low scratch score for June 26th was by Troy Elliott with an even par 36. Other golfers under 40 were Trevor Kuncl with a 37 and JW Schmid and Shane Carr both had a 39.The low net score of 31 was shared by Lyle Phillips and Ron Taylor.Shane had 2 birdies.

July 2 The ladies enjoyed a fun evening with a scramble followed by a potluck dinner. The team having the lowest gross score was Jill Buchfinck and Deb Carnell with 40.Teams having birdies were Jill and Deb with 2.

July 12-13 Mullen High School took two teams to the UNK camp and participated in 9 games each. Each player saw a lot of court time and utilized the skills they learned earlier in the week from Gina Chambers. It was a great team bonding experience! Bronco volleyball attends camps

The Chambers Traveling Volleyball Camp returned to Mullen last week to put on a clinic for girls ages 3rd grade and up. The camp was led by Gina Chambers, a 25+ year veteran coach at the college, high school, and club level, and her daughter, Nyah, a former Nebraska Wesleyan University player.

Jennings competes at College National Finals

The Mid-Plains Community College Rodeo Team wrapped up the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyo. on Saturday, June 15.Whitney Jennings of Seneca competed in the breakaway, posting times in two of her rounds to finish in the top 40.

Cooper Walker is bareback alternate for Nationals

by Gerri Peterson MHS freshman Cooper Walker qualified to compete in bareback and saddle broncs at the Nebraska High School Rodeo Association State Finals in Burwell June 13-15.In the first round he tied for 2nd/3rd with a score of 58 in saddle broncs.
