The Mullen Broncos hosted the Anselmo-Merna Coyotes last Friday, Sept. 22 in football action. The Coyotes were the first to score and the Broncos were never able to catch back up. “We had trouble getting A-M off the field on offense last week,” Head Coach Wade Marsh said.

Mullen girls golfers Corynn Corbin and Faith Miller won’t easily forget the Sept. 19 Valentine Invite. The meet was canceled after only nine holes due to a mountain lion on the golf course! In her first nine holes, Corbin shot a 54 to finish 12th. Hope Miller shot an 85 for 34th.

In what Head Coach Wade Marsh called “our best performance of the season,” the MHS football team shut out the Hyannis Longhorns in Hyannis last Friday night, Sept. 15, 44-0. “Our guys played a great game this week,” Coach Marsh said.

Lady Broncos are runners-up at Run at the Rocks

by Gerri Peterson The Mullen cross country teams ran at the Run at the Rocks Invite in Bridgeport last Tuesday, Sept. 12. The junior high ran 1.5 miles, with Kaisley Phipps placing 2nd with a 12:05.87 and Abby Gracey placing 5th with a 12:53.61. The high school ran a 5K (3.1 miles).
