Golf News

Men’s golf league was scheduled to start on May 17th, but it was rained out. On Thursday, the 18th we played a scramble and no individual scores were kept. May 24th was the first night scores were kept. Low gross went to Brandon Boyer with a 35. Low net was Dick Simonson at 29.

Mullen is Class D Boys State Track Runners-up

by Gerri Peterson Nearly every Mullen Bronco competing at State Track in Omaha last weekend came home with a medal. On Friday, May 19 the first event for the Broncos was the 100 and 110 hurdle prelims. Freshman Tierston Moore qualified for the finals by running a 15.

Boys are District Track Champions

by Gerri Peterson The Mullen Bronco track teams competed at the D-8 District meet in Paxton last Wednesday, May 10. The boys won the team District Championship with 76 points ahead of Sandhills Valley’s 69 points. The girls placed 7th out of 12 teams with 44 points.

Boys golf team ends season at Districts

by Gerri Peterson The Mullen boys golf team hosted their own invitational on Wednesday, May 10. As a team they had a 365 to place third behind Sandhills Valley’s 346 and South Loup’s 360. Ethan Hardin shot an 86 for 5th place, with Jacob Walker right behind him with an 87 for 6th.

Mullen Junior High track teams have successful season
