Youth basketball camp this weekend

There will be a youth basketball camp available to girls and boys grades 3-8 this weekend, June 11-12. The camp will take place at the Hilltop Gym from 1:00-3:30 p.m. each day. A guest who once played at Creighton and most recently finished a year in the G-League will be helping to put it on.

Broncos bring home State Track medals

The Mullen Broncos had a great showing at the NSAA Track & Field Championship held in Omaha last week. Senior Trevor Kuncl won the Class D 3200 on Friday, May 20 with a time of 10:06.87, ahead of Paxton’s Damin Luedke’s 10:13.54.

Jessica Stieb, a junior at Loup City, Nebraska, represented the Arcadia/Loup City Rebels at State Track at Burke Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska. For the second year in a row, she came away with the gold and All Class Gold in the shot put with a throw of 47’ 5 1/4”.

After three days of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Hutchinson, Kansas, Iowa Western Women’s Track & Field finished at the top of the standings, winning the program’s first outdoor national championship.
