Last week for Mullen Elementary’s Christmas Concert, our daughter Danielle chose to wear a dress that her Grandma (Anita) Peterson wore over 50 years ago as a candle lighter in her brother’s wedding.Grandma Peterson had given Danielle the dress years ago to wear as a play dress.

Dear Dave, One of my credit card bills was turned over to a collection agency, because I was late making payments several times. The agency has offered me two or three different payment options I can afford. If I agree to one of these, does the original creditor get paid, as well?

I have often said that Thanksgiving is the forgotten holiday. At one time, the day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday) marked the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. However, over the years, national retailers have begun promoting Christmas shopping the day after Halloween.

I’m typically the type of person who those who have problems sleeping hate.I can fall asleep in minutes and sleep until my alarm goes off in the morning.In fact, one time after falling asleep on Dane’s shoulder, I woke up to him laughing.“What’s so funny?” I mumbled.

This week, the Legislature is hosting the newly elected state Senators for the semi-annual orientation to the Legislature. To put this in perspective, remember our current term-limit system of two consecutive four-year terms.

My family took in the North Platte Community Playhouse’s production of Little Shop of Horrors last weekend, so it’s timely to again give the playhouse an extra publicity plug. There’s still three more chances to see the production this weekend!

Dear Dave, I’m 20-years old, and I’m in a bad spot. I’ve been a jerk for the last year, not listening to my parents about anything. Now, I’ve got over $10,000 in debt from running up bills on credit cards and writing some bad checks. Two weeks ago, I also lost my job and totaled my car.
