Last week, we were all saddened by the news of the Bovee Fire near Halsey, Nebraska. The fire destroyed about 19,000 acres of forest and grassland in and around the Nebraska National Forest.

The Mullen Bronco football team was down, 12-16, with the game almost over. The Broncos had the ball at their own 15 yard line. The quarterback dropped back, evaded a South Loup Bobcat and threw the pass… Whew! Who knew a youth football game could get so intense?
