The Vacationer Issue every January is one of my favorite issues! I love seeing where you went with your Tribune over the last year.If I had all the time and money in the world, I’d definitely travel more.

Dear Dave, Our daughter is 30, and she used to live a completely irresponsible lifestyle. This irresponsible behavior extended into the way she handled her finances, too. While she was in college, she took on $20,000 in student loan debt against our advice.

As we begin the new year, I will begin the last session of my first full term in the Nebraska Legislature.

Dear Dave, I went through a divorce earlier this year, and I was granted custody of our children.They’re 13 and 18. The house we live in is paid for, and it’s worth about $450,000. I also don’t have any other debt.

Well. 2025 was not the year.Last January I declared (in all caps to help make it true) that 2025 WILL BE THE YEAR that I get caught up on printing and organizing photos.I should have consulted my calendar first.

As I begin this week’s article, I want to note that Dec. 29, 2025, marks 50 years of marriage for Julie and me.

For many of us, the holiday season brings multiple generations of families together and traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation.I’d call this very issue of the Tribune a Christmastime tradition that dates back to before I was a student at Mullen Elementary.

Dear Dave, I started following your plan at the first of the year.It was one of my New Year’s resolutions. I even budgeted for Christmas each month. I’ve already gotten my holiday shopping done early, but in the process, I went a little crazy and overspent. Realistically, I know things will be okay.
