Mullen native Chantel Sullivan Burch played Mother Superior in the musical Sister Act this month at the North Platte Community Playhouse. There were six performances of the play over two weekends, which multiple Mullen people attended.

Come join us on “The Hill” for an afternoon of refreshments, visiting, board games, puzzles, cards, books or an activity of your choice. Plans are being made to open the nursing home, which we prefer to call The Hill, one afternoon a week for just getting together.

Hooker County election update

Several local positions are up for election this year, with the Primary Election being May 14, 2024, and the General Election Nov. 5, 2024. The filing deadline for incumbents (any current office holder - even if filing for an office different than the one they are currently holding) was Feb.
