Busy Bees Preschool awarded over $2,000 worth of items

by Gerri Peterson Denise Hoyt of Mullen’s Busy Bees Preschool was awarded a calming corner for her preschool after completing an online training about social-emotional learning for young children. The calming corner is valued over $2,000, courtesy of the teacher supply store Lakeshore Learning.

Jon Harding presented with Quilt of Valor

Jon Harding was presented with a Quilt of Valor at the Mullen Veterans Day program on Friday, Nov. 10 at the Lariat. American Legion Auxiliary president Eva Crawford read the following, “Jon served our country during the Vietnam War. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in January 1966.

Coats needed by this Friday for coat drive

The National Honor Society is having a winter coat drive this week for the Open Door Project in Omaha. They will deliver them this weekend. Please bring new or gently used coats to Mullen High School before noon on Friday, Nov. 17. The coats can be any size. Thank you for your donation!
