Virtual tour travels back in time at Memorial Stadium

Lincoln - In honor of Memorial Stadium’s 100th anniversary, Nebraska Public Media Labs and content production team created a 2-D tour that allows visitors to virtually travel back in time to see Memorial Stadium as it was when it was first built, along with one of the venue’s first expansions.

Folk, Cooley attend Leadership Conference

The Nebraska Association for Family and Community Education of the 2023 Leadership Conference met September 28-30 at Ogallala. Winnie Cooley and Lois Folk were among the 35 attendees. The state meeting met in the Petrified Wood Art Gallery meeting room using the theme, “Boot Scootin Good Time.

Sandhills Symphony Orchestra concert

The Sandhills Symphony Orchestra will be holding their free fall 2023 concert on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 3:00 p.m. CT in the Mid-Plains Community College Theater at 601 State Farm Road. The concert will also be livestreamed on the Sandhills Symphony Orchestra Facebook page.

Hooker County receives dividend check

Lincoln - Hooker County has received another membership dividend, this time in the amount of $364 from the Nebraska Intergovernmental Risk Management Association II (NIRMA II), the county’s workers’ compensation coverage and risk management services provider.

Dear Editor, It was announced at the Oct. 5, 2023, Mullen Village Board meeting that the board will be discussing continuing the nuisance program with WCNDD at the next Village Board meeting. The next board meeting is this Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023, 5 p.m. at the Village Office meeting room.
