by Gerri Peterson The 37th annual Sandhills Sharptail Shootout was held in Mullen last week, with the awards banquet held at the Hooker County Community Center on Saturday, Sept. 16.

Estate planning services for seniors

Director for the West Central Nebraska Area Agency on Aging Students from the University of Nebraska College of Law Civil Clinic will set up shop at the North Platte Senior Center, 901 E. 10th Street, on Nov. 17, 2023, to provide free estate planning services to seniors (60+) who pre-register.

NE Passport now accepting applications

Lincoln - Nebraska Tourism’s Passport program is now accepting applications for 2024. Any destination in the state is welcome to apply to become a Passport stop. Past stops have included restaurants, museums, outdoor adventures, retail stores, wineries, breweries, arts destinations and more!

Cochran recognized for 20 years

Clerk Magistrate Brenda Cochran was recognized for 20 years of service by Judge Joel Jay following court in Hooker County on Tuesday, Sept. 5. Cochran is the Clerk Magistrate for the courts in Hooker, McPherson, Logan and Thomas counties.
