The Lions Club held a taco feed, followed by 15 rounds of various games of Bingo at the Hooker County Community Center last Wednesday, July29. As is tradition, the last round was blackout for the grand prize of $50.1. Regular Bingo: Jordyn Cheney - Kid’s Prize2. Regular Bingo: Teal Peterson - $203.

submitted by Theresa Thomas, CSA Extension The Hooker County 4-H Livestock Show was held on Saturday, Aug. 1 at the Hooker County Fairgrounds with swine, goats and cattle being shown by 4-H members of all ages.
The Wild Cow Milking proved to be a bit wild! Tell Spies is drug along in the arena, while looking for assistance from one of his team members to get the rope off the cow. Gerri Peterson

Mullen Ranch Rodeo provides Friday evening entertainment

The Mullen Ranch Rodeo was held at the Hooker County Fairgrounds on Friday, July 31. Twelve teams competed in Double Muggin, Team Sorting, Loading & Branding and Wild Cow Milking. Ranch Bronc Riding was also held, along with a Calf Scramble for youth ages 10-14.
