Charlottte Hoatson took in the Hooker County Fair activities and enjoyed it very much. Charlotte went out to Gladys Sexton’s Monday. Bill and Robin Phipps of Kearney and grandsons Berwick and Brenhem Bloomberg were Saturday and Sunday visitors of Alice Phipps to attend the fair activities.

Once again, the Rusty Moore Memorial Pig Wrestling drew in a big crowd Saturday evening, Aug. 6 at the Hooker County Fairgrounds. A cold front coming in even made jackets a necessity for many after seeking shade most of the summer! Youth 1.
A secret business owner “Fair Santa” donated all of the watermelon that was enjoyed by everyone at the fair events. Chuckwagon ‘n Jug’s Gregg and Dawn Mallory helped serve them. Here Gregg tells fair-goers at the Redneck Hunger Games that they have two hands, therefore they need two pieces of watermelon! Gerri Peterson

50 participate in Mullen Swimming Pool Water Carnival

by Barb McIntosh On a hot Monday, Aug. 1st afternoon, the Mullen Swimming Pool was the place to be for the Water Carnival. We had 16 little ones signed up for Baby Pool events, along with 34 competing in the Big Pool.
