Goldie (Maire) Little of Mullen was 21 years old when she started flying lessons in 1949. Her dad, Herman Maire, learned to fly first, followed by her brothers Fred and Roy. “I guess I decided I’d try it too,” Goldie remembers. She said she was flying at about the same time as her brothers were.

Undoubtedly, Christmas has always been my favorite holiday, but there is one specific thing I love most about the special holiday, and that is decorating. As a young girl I always looked forward to Thanksgiving because I knew soon after I would be able to take part in decorating for Christmas.

United Methodist Women to meet at noon Dec. 15

The General Unit of the United Methodist Women met Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 17 in the senior high room of the church with six members present. President Sue Bonesteel opened the meeting and joys and concerns were given. Theme song was sung, scripture Psalms 91:2 and purpose were given.
