The holiday express

My alarm goes off, it’s 5:15 in the morning and I am getting ready for basketball practice. I show up in my pajamas and you’ll never guess what was playing when I walked in. Yes, Christmas music! I survive practice and go home to shower and pack my bags for the long journey in front of me.

Flip Licking of Seneca brought two of his reindeer to visit Lori Folk’s Lots of Love Day Care in Mullen last Tuesday, Nov. 30. The kids all had their picture taken with the reindeer and got to pet them.

Mullen’s Hondo Lanes purchased a big improvement this year - electronic score machines! The bowling leagues have taken advantage of them this fall and more leagues will begin after the first of the year.

Dogs’ best friend, Cindy Pearman, retiring this month

At first people thought she was going to fail. Then she was a novelty. Fast forward to this year and it was her busiest summer ever. A couple weeks ago for Thanksgiving, always her busiest holiday, she had 52 dogs. Now after 16 years, Cindy Pearman of KoKo’s Palace for Pampered Pets is retiring.
