The American Red Cross is facing a national blood crisis. This has raised a great deal of concern all across the nation, leading to blood shortages and high risks to patient care. These shortages have led to critical decision making for doctors about what individuals should receive blood first.

Book Club to meet again March 16

The Mullen Book Club will be discussing “The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics” by Daniel James Brown at their next meeting on Wednesday, March 16. They will meet at 6:00 p.m. at the Mullen Arts Center. Zoom is available upon request.

I am a nurse that has worked as needed (PRN) for Pioneer Memorial Rest Home for around six years. We ranch so sometimes I have worked full time and other times just when needed, and I was/am able to come.

The Sandhills Journey National Scenic Byway annual conference was held Saturday, Feb. 5 at the One Box in Broken Bow. Throughout the afternoon a vendor showcase was offered by a variety of vendors. Meetings were also held to offer assistance and ideas to byway members and guests.
