General Unit of United Methodist Women hold meeting

The General Unit of the United Methodist Women met Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. in the senior high room of the church with five members present. President Sue Bonesteel opened the meeting asking for joys and concerns and gave prayer.

MPCC Office of Marketing and Public Information Office wins awards

Editor’s note: Heather Johnson is the daughter of Gary and Glenda Phipps of Whitman. The Mid-Plains Community College Office of Marketing and Public Information has been recognized by two different organizations at both the state and national levels.

Daniels inducted into Phi Theta Kappa

More than 30 students were inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at North Platte Community College Sunday, March 28. PTK is the world’s largest and most prestigious honor society for two-year college students, and NPCC is home to the Alpha Beta Theta chapter.
