Vanderheiden Run raises awareness of mental health

Registration is open for the annual Tyler Vanderheiden Memorial Run, set for May 30 at Cody Park in North Platte.This race to raise awareness of mental health doubles as a fundraiser for Nebraska Game and Parks state park trails.

Days of fires in Mullen area caused by lightning

Free clinic for ranchers

Free clinics for farmers and ranchers and their families are being held on Tuesday, May 5 in Valentine. They are confidential, one-on-one sessions with an experienced ag law attorney and ag finance counselor.These clinics have been offered in Nebraska since 1989.

Mullen Book Club to meet next May 20

The Mullen Book Club will meet next on Wednesday, May 20 at 6:00 p.m. on the lawn of the Hooker County Courthouse. Bring a lawn chair and come join the discussion of “The Awakening of Miss Prim” by Natalia Sanmartin Fenollera. Copies of the book are available at the Hooker County Library.
