‘Extreme drought’ continues in Nebraska Sandhills

Nearly the entire state of Nebraska is in some classification of drought, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor map released May 28. Looking at the entire U.S., there are just a few other states who look worse than Nebraska in the statewide drought scope.

Nebraska Cattlemen meeting next week

Lincoln - Nebraska Cattlemen (NC) announced registration is available for the 2026 Nebraska Cattlemen Annual Midyear Meeting in Dawson County. This year’s meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 10 and Thursday, June 11.
