McIntosh to play in All Star games

Bryce McIntosh, a senior at Mullen High School, has been selected to play in two All Star football games this summer. He was selected to play in the 42nd West Nebraska All Star game in Scottsbluff. Kickoff will be at 7:00 p.m. on June 12th at Bearcat Stadium.

The North Platte Community College Knights volleyball team proved it can hold its own against next level competition Friday, April 2 in Wahpeton, North Dakota. The Knights won their first game of the District G Championship, downing North Dakota State College of Science 3-2.

Broncos place 2nd at South Loup Invite

The Mullen Bronco track teams competed at the South Loup Invitational last Friday, April 9. Three meets in and the Broncos have yet to hit a nice day for a track meet, with this one being not only windy (again), but also cold and damp.

The Mullen Bronco boys golf team competed at the South Loup Invite on Friday, April 9 in cold, damp and windy conditions. Brendon Walker placed first with a score of 82, one stroke over Luke Martinez of Sutherland. He combined a 42 and a 40 to win the meet.

Broncos place 1st, 4th at own meet

The Mullen Bronco track teams hosted the Mullen Invite in Arnold last Thursday, April 1, with the boys placing first as a team and the girls placing fourth. Callie Coble brought home individual gold medals in the girls mile and 2-mile with times of 6:00.7 and 12:41.4.

Golf team opens season

The Mullen Bronco golf team began their season last Thursday, April 1 in Stapleton. With only three team members, they weren’t able to compete in the team race, but they had a great opening meet.
