Broncos open season with dominating win

The D2 Mullen Broncos opened their season last Thursday, Dec. 3 with a dominating 51-17 win over the C2 Sutherland Sailors. Senior Brendon Walker led the Broncos with 17 points, 5 steals, 2 rebounds and 1 assist.

Wrestling team opens season with Bronco Invite win

The Mullen Bronco wrestling team opened their season on Saturday, Dec. 5 by hosting the Bronco Invite with 21 teams. In a close team race, the Broncos won the invite with 127 points, just ahead of Gordon-Rushville’s 124 points. Bridgeport placed third with 111 points.

The following was read Saturday at the Bronco Invite when the Gary Hoyt Outstanding Wrestler Award was presented. Gary passed away on Sept. 10, 2020. Gary Hoyt was an active member of the wrestling community in Nebraska for many years.

State Volleyball - vs. Maywood-Hayes Center, 23-25, 11-25, 22-25 We thought that going into this tournament, we had a good chance to go far. Yes, MHC was undefeated but we really thought we had a chance to beat them… but we needed to play well. Our game plan worked fairly well.
