Some of the Mullen Bronco track athletes competed twice last week, with the top 8 times and distances competing at the Best of the Midwest meet in Sutherland on Tuesday, April 30.Medals were presented to the top three in each event, with Mullen earning those medals in five events.
The Mullen High School Athletic Banquet was held on Monday, April 29 at the Lariat.Following a supper where the Mullen Commercial Club provided meat, potatoes and drinks, and attendees brought salads, vegetables and desserts, season highlights were given by the coaches.

Last week was busy for the Mullen Bronco boys golf team.On Tuesday, April 30 they competed at the Garden County Invite in Chappell.Jacob Walker shot a 92 for 7th place.Corben Kissire shot a 98 and Jarren Forsen a 102.

The Mullen boys golf team competed at MNAC in Broken Bow on Tuesday, April 23.Jacob Walker placed 6th with a 94, shooting a 43 and a 51.Jarren Forsen placed 9th with a 48 and 51 for a 99.Corben Kissire shot a 53 and a 52 for a score of 105.

The Mullen High School volleyball and football teams are currently hosting an online auction as a fundraiser for team camps this summer and new equipment for the season.The online auction consists of items donated from local businesses and/or community members.

The annual Mullen High School Athletic Banquet will be held Monday, April 29 at 6:00 p.m. at the Lariat.The Mullen Commercial Club will furnish the meat and potatoes. Drinks and table service are also provided.
The Omaha World Herald recently released All State Basketball selections, with Mullen’s Hayley Donohoe and Kyle Finney making the Class D2 Honorable Mention lists for girls and boys.
The Mullen Bronco track teams traveled to Paxton on Thursday, April 18. The meet in Gothenburg that some of the athletes had qualified for earlier in the week was canceled due to the weather.Out of 11 teams, the boys placed 2nd with 85 points behind Maywood-Hayes Center’s 113.
