The 3rd/4th grade boys basketball team placed 2nd in the Sutherland tournament on Saturday, Jan. 13. They won against Perkins County 24-0, Med Valley 24-2, Lexington 18-4, Hershey 20-18 in sudden death in a second overtime and then lost to North Platte 14-26. Lady Broncos go 0-2 back from break

The Lady Broncos came back from Christmas break and traveled to Brady on Friday, Jan. 5, being defeated 25-42. Hayley Donohoe led the Broncos with 16 points, 2 rebounds and 1 steal. Peyton Paxton: 3 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal. Harper Andersen: 3 points, 4 rebounds.

Wrestling team competes at Ogallala Duals

Last Saturday, Jan. 6 the wrestling team traveled to the Ogallala Duals meet and competed against five other teams. They defeated Yuma (42-30) and Alliance (37-36). They lost to Ogallala (48-30), Mitchell (59-18) and Sidney (42-30).

Broncos win back to back in overtime

The boys’ basketball team had back to back thrillers. The Broncos traveled to Brady on Friday, Jan. 5th. It was a high scoring back and forth game with the Broncos going into halftime up, 35-28. The second half was the same story.

Lady Broncos place 3rd in tournament

by Gerri Peterson Last week the Lady Broncos traveled to Paxton for a two-day Holiday Tournament. On Tuesday, Dec. 19 they played Paxton. They led 7-6 at the end of the first quarter, but then only scored 1 point in the second quarter, allowing the Tigers to pull ahead with the halftime score 8-16.

Broncos fall to Paxton, then Garden County in double OT

Lady Broncos lose to Anselmo-Merna, win at Cody-Kilgore

The Lady Broncos hosted the Anselmo-Merna Coyotes on Thursday, Dec. 14. The Broncos trailed 22-13 at halftime. The scoring was closer in the second half, 13-14, but the Broncos were unable to hit enough baskets to earn the win, losing 26-36.
