Lady Broncos go 1-2 in MNAC tournament action

As promised here at the stats from the Lady Broncos’ MNAC tournament games on Saturday, Oct. 14 that were unavailable for last week’s issue. Against Arthur County, the ladies lost 21-25, 15-25.

Jennings is leading Great Plains Region in breakaway

The Mid-Plains Community College Rodeo Team has the No. 1 breakaway roper in the Great Plains Region. Now that the dust has cleared and the last gate has closed on the fall rodeos, it’s Whitney Jennings, of Seneca, who has come out on top in the regional standings.

Broncos defeated by Knights, end regular season 5-3

by Gerri Peterson The Mullen Bronco football team ended their regular season by traveling to Dunning on Thursday, Oct. 12 for a rainy cold game against the Sandhills/ Thedford Knights, being defeated 0-50. “It was a really tough game this week,” Head Coach Wade Marsh said.

Lady Broncos end regular season 5-22

sophomore On Saturday, Oct. 7th the Mullen Lady Broncos traveled to Anselmo-Merna to participate in their tournament. They played against Pleasanton, Chambers/Wheeler Central and Anselmo-Merna. Against Pleasanton, losing in three sets 16-25, 25-21, 15-25, they served 89.3%.

Broncos are all State Cross Country bound!

by Riley Hegland, MHS freshman On Wednesday, Oct. 11 the Mullen cross country team headed to Grant, Nebraska, for the NSAA D-6 District meet. In order to qualify for state the top 15 runners make it, or the top 3 teams can qualify.

Mullen volleyball stats for September 29-30 games

Mullen Lady Broncos hosted the Leyton Warriors for their they lost all three sets, 7-25, 17-25, 19-25. They served 86.7%. Kalli Licking: 1 point, 11 digs, 14 assists, 14 attacks, 3 kills. Medora DeNeayer: 1 dig, 1 assist, 13 attacks. Lauren Schoonveld: 1 assist, 13/13 serve receive.

The Mullen 3rd/4th grade volleyball team traveled to Kearney on Saturday, Oct. 7 to participate in the Nebraska NetFest Tournament, sponsored by Nebraska Sports Council. They played North Platte St. Pat’s, Ansley-Litchfield, Seward and Freeman (Adams), placing 2nd in the Gold division.
