Golf team competes at home, Thedford

On Monday, April 17th, Mullen hosted a triangular against Hyannis and Sandhills/ Thedford. The final scores for the Broncos through 9 holes were: Ethan Hardin - 43, Jacob Walker - 47, Kaleb Moore - 52, Corbin Kissire - 53, Jarren Forsen - 61 and Jacob Wingebach - 125.

MHS Athletic Banquet will be Monday

The annual Mullen High School Athletic Banquet will be held Monday, May 1 at 6:00 p.m. at the Lariat. The Mullen Commercial Club will furnish the meat and potatoes. Drinks and table service are also provided.

MHS boys golf team competes in Bridgeport

by Alex Moore, MHS senior On Thursday, April 13th, the Mullen boys’ golf team traveled to Bridgeport for another regular season meet. Kaleb Moore shot a score of 99, Ethan Hardin followed closely behind with 101, Jacob Walker ended with 112 and Jarren Forsen ended his 18 holes with 115.

MHS boys track team wins meet at Bertrand

by Gerri Peterson The Bronco track teams traveled to Bertrand to compete in the Jerry Stine Invitational last Friday, April 14. Out of 10 teams, the boys claimed the team championship by just one point ahead of host school Bertrand. The Lady Broncos placed 9th.

Locals receive State Champion saddles

This past fall Whitney Jennings and Spencer DeNaeyer received their Nebraska High School Rodeo Association State Champion saddles. DeNaeyer, who graduated from MHS last year, was the 2022 Nebraska Bareback Rider Champion.

Boys place 3rd, girls 4th at South Loup Invite

by Gerri Peterson The Mullen Bronco track teams competed in Arnold at the South Loup Invite last Thursday, April 6. Out of 16 teams, the boys placed 3rd as a team, while the girls placed 4th out of 17 teams. Bringing home individual gold medals for the girls were Peyton Paxton and Tierston Moore.

Hardin medals at South Loup Invite

by Alex Moore, MHS senior On Thursday, April 6th, the Mullen varsity golf team traveled to Arnold for the South Loup Invite. Ethan Hardin had a score of 96 and also placed 7th to get a medal.

Mike Trader’s Mid-America Basketball Camps

Mike Trader’s Annual Mid-America Basketball Camp will conduct eight individual sessions this summer. The overnight and commuter camps for boys and girls will be held June 12-15 at Central Community College (Platte Campus) in Columbus and July 10-13 at Doane University.

Walker medals at first golf meet
