The Great Plains Health Care Foundation was gifted $2,500 for their Hospice Department, by the Eclipse Dismal River Run. Kristy Lage, Linda Tucker and Trudy Merritt presented the check to the Hospice Team. A big thanks to all the sponsors and athletes who ran those “Hills for Hospice” on Sept.

Lady Broncos’ season ends in subdistricts

by Gerri Peterson The Lady Broncos’ volleyball season ended last Monday, Oct. 24 in the D2-10 subdistrict at Garden County. The Broncos battled the Hyannis Longhorns in five sets, falling 2-3. The Broncos ended the season with a 1-26 record.

Ewbank runs marathon

Sara Ewbank of Louisburg, Kansas, competed in the Kansas City Marathon on Oct. 16. This was Sara’s first marathon and she finished 297th out of 1,266 overall participants and 40th out of 398 women. Her time was 3:53.08.

Broncos end season in first round of playoffs

by Alex Moore, MHS senior, and Gerri Peterson On Thursday, Oct. 20th, the Mullen Broncos traveled down to Elm Creek to partake in the first round of playoffs.
The Mullen 3rd/4th grade youth volleyball team won the Sutherland Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 22 and then placed 2nd at the Valentine Tournament on Sunday, Oct. 23.
