Lady Broncos fall to Brady in MNAC

The Lady Broncos faced Brady last Thursday, Oct. 13 in MNAC action at Merna, falling in three sets 24-26, 15-25, 22-25. Hayley Donohoe scored 10 points for the Broncos, while Tierston Moore scored 9. “We played well and were ahead at the end of two of the sets,” Head Coach Jennifer Moore said.

Mullen youth football teams finish season

The Mullen youth 3rd-6th grade football teams finished their season this week with games against Sutherland on Sunday, Oct. 16 and then against Hyannis for grades 3-5 on Tuesday, Oct. 18. Thank you to everyone who has supported the youth football fundraisers - new jerseys were purchased this year.

The Mullen 5th/6th grade volleyball team placed 2nd in the Anselmo-Merna tournament on Sunday, Oct. 16. They played the Gibbon 6th grade in the semi-finals, winning in two sets and then played a tough Sandhills/Thedford team in the finals, losing 23-25 and 16-25.

South Loup defeats Broncos at home

MHS senior and Gerri Peterson On Friday, Oct. 7, the 4-2 Mullen Broncos faced off against the 3-3 South Loup Bobcats in a regular season game. The Bobcats finished the game with a running clock to defeat the Broncos 64-14 during senior night in Mullen.

Corbin, Simonson end golf season at Districts

aylor The Mullen girls golf team traveled to Bridgeport on Sept. 26th and had a mixed day. Junior Corynn Corbin shot a 99, which earned her a 4th place medal, awesome performance! Junior Ashlyn Simonson had to withdraw after a nagging back injury continued and forced her out after 9 holes.

Broncos earn MNAC hardware

MNAC cross country was held in Arnold on Tuesday, Oct. 4 and we brought home some hardware! Junior high runners ran 1.50 miles. Runner-up was Harper Andersen with a finishing time of 9:56. Ady Hampton 6th place 11:11, Lola Wingebach 7th place 11:22, Riley Hegland 14th place 11:59.

Mullen Broncos sweep Leyton Warriors on the road

The Mullen Broncos traveled to Leyton on Friday, Sept. 30 for a football matchup, winning in a shutout with a final score of 42-0. The Broncos ended the first half with a quick 30 points and then slowed down in the second half, scoring 12 points.

The cross country teams competed at the Mark Matthews Invitational at Bayard on Thursday, Sept. 29. Peyton Paxton placed 2nd in the high school girls race with a 21:45. For the high school boys, Kyle Finney was 12th with a 19:40 and Alex Moore was 36th with a 24:04.
